Absolutely gripping
Phenomenal podcast. You might think “I don’t really care about some exporter of illegal chemicals in the 80s,” but the creators of this show weave all their interviews and research into an absolutely gripping tale of how middlemen who supply brutal regimes escape from justice. It’s also a close character study of the banality of evil. Hadjemetheou is masterful at slowly getting this monster to reveal himself. This one will stay with me for a while.

Mindblowing podcast, very professionally produced. My heart goes out to Kirat.

As someone who has been at the receiving end of an emotional cat fishing situation, I found this podcast riveting. Can’t recommend it enough.

Great compelling story but why oh why did you have the spoiler as to the catfisher’s identity in the closing minutes of episode 2? It would have been so much more of a shock if you’d left it to be revealed in episode 3.
