I have just listened to this podcast. As a survivor I have wondered about trying to get my attacker prosecuted. But after hearing this it just does not seem to be worth it. I was shocked by mp’s and government to help victims.

This podcast is so refreshing. Sometimes the world feels like it is made exclusively of bumbling lying politicians, and so hearing others voices opens so many doors to new ways of thinking. It is so well formatted and researched. Thank you for making this😊

Absolutely fantastic podcast. I think of myself as pretty well-informed, but I still learn so much from Matilda and Helena. They manage to cover topics in such an empathetic and careful way, and still come across as authentic human beings rather than robots following a script.

Your work is important and is an excellent channel where you convey notions we all need to think about - but the spooky music added to some sections of interviews reduces the impact giving it a it a fictional short story tone. Please consider not using it in the edit.

If a doctor can’t give health advice to patients because they have to tip toe around the elephant in the room (their weight) then what a sad state of affairs we’ve arrived at. We go to the doctor to hear what we need to hear, not what we chose to. Hard truths and diagnoses delivered often. You...Read full review »

My new favorite show! I can’t get enough of it. This podcast is fantastic to help you be the Ally you want to be or even open your eyes on issues by hearing the point of view of people that are actually concerned. It has helped me have much more educated conversations with my family, friends...Read full review »

Tackles the issues faced by marginalised groups by speaking to the people most affected. Has really challenged my thinking and has opened my eyes to how mainstream media shapes our views on marginalised populations in society Keep up the excellent journalism!

I want to first thank you for providing people like me(trans) and many many others a platform to express what affects us when so much of what we hear is others taking about us and what we deserve. This podcast is doing what the media never does… talking to the people at the heart of all these...Read full review »

I don’t know much about any of these topics, but I’ve loved learning straight from the horse’s mouth. Also, it’s refreshing to hear journalists take responsibility for they way they inform public opinion. Definitely worth a listen!!

Here’s a podcast that makes you re-think your perspective, adds a questioning dimension so your comfort zone isn’t quite so comfortable, and does it in a way that’s intelligent, amusing and thoughtful. It feels good to listen to conversations that expand your world. Great job.

Any challenge to the lazy stereotypes perpetuated by mainstream media is a good thing. This podcast is an informative breath of fresh air that goes the extra mile to get the story from the people who are on the receiving end, who simply are not given the chance to have a voice. You’re left...Read full review »

Refreshing attempt to get closer to the real events and situations that surround too often exaggerated news stories, by speaking to the people who are actually affected. Good to see a different approach.

This is just what we need - the other side of the story. Highlights the mainstream media’s biased language, explains political agendas behind the refugee/asylum seekers system in the UK. Puts the UK’s ‘intake’ of asylum seekers into context with other European countries. Listen and learn people!...Read full review »
