“I’ll start by saying that it is wonderful to be able to listen to the Bible every day. That said, going from the regular Daily Audio Bible to this was jarring. The speaker is clear and the sound quality is good, but she does not do any prep work it seems when it comes to her pronunciations not does she do any editing. She often stumbles over words or phrases, which would be forgivable if she just recorded or edited out a little before posting.
The major issue I have is with her preparations and pronunciations. This may seem petty, but I think it is important that we try our best when we are doing a ministry, especially when we are sharing scripture. Mispronouncing words in Greek or Hebrew is forgivable, though there are plenty of ways to find out how they should be pronounced. What is the main problem is her mispronunciation of many common English words. It makes some episodes incredibly hard to follow and it seems lazy as she knows she doesn’t know how to say a word and instead of learning or asking someone before she records, she just says something very incorrect. All she needs to do is to listen to her father’s podcast or ask someone or look up how to say something, but she doesn’t bother to do it.
I appreciate a chronological reading of the Bible, but I will be returning to her father’s reading as he seems to take it more seriously.”
