Watching this eclipse does not make scientist. It is a very temporary item we do not become totally dark I agree that watching this is very dangerous if not properly protected. Probably better left alone. Let the real scientist view this and write on it. It happens across the world a lot more...Read full review »

If you’re looking for an unbiased news podcast this isn’t it but there aren’t a lot of options for Canadian News Podcasts, so you take what you can get.

Was it not possible to find a more balanced guest for this podcast? Listening to Rick Bell’s biased opinion made me sick to my stomach. He does not speak for all Albertans. Most Albertan’s I know are willing to listen to the arguments pro and con. Bell must be getting all his info from AUPE...Read full review »

Derek Finale’s interview about safe injection sites was excellent. By the end, my stomach was in knots and my heart saddened over what the residents in a Toronto neighborhood have been going through. It is terrible that even after the murder of a mother of two small children, nothing is being...Read full review »

Episode on Notley and Smith was junk and completely shameful! I get the real person/like- ability angle but would you ever compare men this way? Host had to drag out their actual credentials and experience and profiles as politicians. Tyler Dawson makes ‘mean girl’ references and compares them...Read full review »

Despite the jarring theme music it is a good, solid podcast on dense topics and the host is great. Good work!

Great host and good discussions. Would like to hear from more Indigenous guests instead of guessing how we feel. Invite us on the show and we will tell you. Keep the episodes coming.

Dave Breakenridge does an excellent job of asking pointed questions with as unbiased an approach as it seems possible to get these days. His guests have a variety of viewpoints, and he has someone different on every episode, so if you really don’t like listening to one guest, you can always come...Read full review »

Dave is a good host and the show is pretty decent with a vibe closer to what I expect is the culture of the Edmonton Journal newsroom. The podcast is best when it avoids engaging with the opinion columnists from the National Post, but it is generally an engaging listen and Breakenridge is a good...Read full review »

As about inspired as their print media. If I want government talking points I’ll watch CPAC. Yawn.

As someone who is double vaccinated, the fear mongering was extreme with the last podcast. Very divisive. It opened my eyes to what my nonvaxxed coworkers have been hearing/saying/feeling.

Based on the covid episode on June 21st the women talking is lying. Great pod. I took exception with their pod today I wrote the host and he gave me a substantive reply The national post is not my usual paper to read but I find this podcast very balanced and informative.

Love the show! But why is it called 10/3?
OlympicVillageB via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 04/10/21
Covers some good topics in reasonable depth, and helps get to know some Postmedia journalists, most of whom are good. The show’s conservative bias is never far from the surface, though, and sometimes the (presumably) low budget is obvious, eg when a reporter doesn’t know the answer to a question...Read full review »

They cover some interesting topics in a fair way, but definitely have a lean to the right, some subjects more than others.

So far so good, well produced and seems bipartisan. 15 to 20 minute episodes are too short, maybe add 2 or 3 topics into a 45-60 minute episode. I’m sure there’s enough to report on to cover that timeline.
kkakala,a,a, via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 12/17/20
I listened to the pod cast about defunding the police. It was really disappointing how inaccurate and one sided it was. I was hoping to find a Canadian pod cast with intelligent non bias conversation. This isn’t it.
DirtyTea via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/22/20
I guess I had thought I would be presented with facts that I would be able to use my own intelligence to mull over and form an educated opinion I’m not seeking out one singular viewpoint, however this podcast will not be an impartial disseminator of information.

I haven’t found the episodes to be entirely interesting. Compared to other daily’s (ie The Daily) it falls short.

Reporters should stick to facts and present them as such, not their opinions of facts.

Reasonable, fact-based, non-partisan discussion and analysis.
bingo blaineo via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 02/21/20
This show used to be a quick, reasonably neutral assessment of current events. Recently, however, there’s a creeping right wing bias that makes it hard to merit the program beyond 1 star. Longtime subscriber, moments from unsubscribing.

I used to love this podcast and listen regularly but the newly right-wing bend is disappointing and doesn’t speak to me at all. I don’t need to hear Brian Lilley con-jerk on air.
Carline1234 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/09/19
I appreciate the tone of this podcast, thoughtful and measured, but these folks use distinctly neoliberal frames. They take as inevitable the way things are, with little interrogation as to how or why they are that way. That leads to a cynical evaluation of progressive political goals.
