“I very much enjoyed season 1 and season 2 is great as well. The actors are award worthy and I would love to see this all translated to a screen. I also enjoy the post episode discussions but I wish the creators would leave their modern day comparisons and personal opinions out of it. Their politics and viewpoints are showing and I for one am listening for the history they are presenting and not for their ideology. That said, thank you for the quality of the podcast.”

“I absolutely love this podcast and I listen to every episode twice. I doubt that many people know much about the reconstruction period (me included) but 1865 provides the facts and entertains at the same time.
