I’m not sure this needed a podcast. It’s a horrible tragic gut wrenching story, but beyond that...I’m not sure what the point is(maybe it’s just “hey we have all this audio and everyone else is doing a podcast so...#shrug”) It’s one of those I’d say start and see if it’s your cup of tea. It just...Read full review »

Considering the story, I found some of the ads really distasteful, which is disappointing because there’s clearly a lot of work and effort put into this podcast.

Such a sad story, but the podcast is really well- done!

The commercials tho come at very difficult times!

Very thorough and well researched and reported podcast. My only gripe with it is so many ads, but they’re an easy skip.

Love the way this is put together... it’s investigative and listens like a tv show. All of the episodes are so in depth and easy to follow and easy to listen to so that I can still get my work done. The narrator is easy to understand and it’s just a great way to make the day pass and hear about...Read full review »

The way the information is delivered in this podcast is truly a work of art. Its done in a very tasteful, respectful way that still manages to leave the audience on the edge of their seat. Listen to this! Do it now! You won’t regret it!

It’s more like listening to a news piece - hours and hours of retelling of the same story. Plus, none of the witnesses or people involved wanted to be a part of the podcast; that shows some red flags in the approach and execution of this show.

As a resident of Washington and someone who lives within a mile of where the murders took place, I followed this case closely in real time and thought I knew everything there was to know. WTOP took creative angles to tell this story while maintaining the highest journalistic standards. I’m beyond...Read full review »

I remember this story well, as it was all over the news in DC in spring 2015. While I appreciate and believe in supporting good journalism (and I think this story is told well in the podcast), I don’t believe anyone should profit off of this horrific crime. The Savopoulos family was incredibly...Read full review »

Such a heartbreaking, senseless crime. The story was so well told by this podcast, respectfully done & clearly expressing the gravity of the effect on all involved. I was so touched by the final episode, it brought me to tears to hear the statements of the two surviving daughters and Nelly, the...Read full review »

I never had any interest in podcast but i gave it a try after a friend recommended this podcast. I could not believe how amazing the narrating would be. Thank you for your time and all your hard work!

Very engaging and interesting podcasts. Could have easily been one of the best true crime podcasts if there weren’t adverts every 30 mins. Ridiculous. Ruins the whole podcasts

I’m glad Daron Wint was sent to prison for the horrific crimes he committed, a wealthy family that did no harm to no one didn’t deserve to die this way. The talks from the only surviving children (2 daughters) got me at work with a knot in my throat, she made me think of my own kids. And for the...Read full review »

My first true crime podcast & I can’t find anything that can compare to this excellence (trust me - I tried). Perfect detail, story telling, music & narrating. Please hurry and create another!

It’s good reporting, but far too many ads and unnecessarily long. 3 sentences where one would do make it slow and quite frustrating, I want to finish it but it’s taking ages to wrap it up, half of this past episode is just not needed.

Meghan and Jack do a phenomenal job telling this haunting, complicated story. Honestly it is one of the best produced podcasts I’ve ever heard.
christymarie124 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/09/19
This is a gut-wrenching story shamelessly exploited by “journalists” with ZERO integrity who are clearly trying to make a buck.

This is a good story but it’s being told by Velma and Fred from Scooby-Doo. Way too much drama being injected when it’s not necessary. Warnings for what you’re about to describe? Recognize your audience, this isn’t the kids hour, or is it. Good production, just overly scripted. Fire whoever...Read full review »

I think the biggest thing for me is how they spoiled two of the most important details from the beginning in episode one: if the family died and who the killer was. I think they should have kept those details until they got to them as they were going through the timeline. Knowing these things...Read full review »

This is such a interesting case and you tuned it into a joke. Y’all are the biggest goofballs I’ve ever heard. The pacing is terrible, and get a new editor they don’t know what their doing. Also use Veras name, stop calling her “the housekeeper” she’s not a piece of property she’s a person.

The story itself is horrific but the storytelling is truly superb. So thorough, detailed research and actual recordings and interviews from key players brings the story to life in a way you don’t expect. I am a true crime podcast junkie. My favorites have been Serial, Cold, Bear Brook, Man in the Window, Dirty John, and others. HOWEVER, this one was so extremely well done. Respectful and thorough. The forensic and legal aspects were so well covered. The daughter’s letters brought me to tears. I...Read full review »

This case is widely done on various other podcasts, but most others spend just 30 minutes to an hour on it. I appreciated this in depth dive to this case. I would love for this podcast to pick up another case and do another season. Well done!

The story is interesting, the host is engaging, and the ads are short. My only gripe is some of the theatrics — like reacting to an empty parking lot and dramatically struggling to share certain details. We, as listeners, can react for ourselves and don’t need someone to tell us how sad the story...Read full review »

Fascinating dissection of a case, however knocked one star off for the over-wrought re-enactments, reading testimony transcripts.

So far the podcast is keeping my interest and was a great way to pass the time for a long drive. The only thing I dislike is some of the quality of the audio. Being a resident of the DMV, this story was so difficult to watch unfold. Listening to this podcast, it was eye opening, very informative and eloquently put together. This would have been great if they would have cut it in half. SO REDUNDANT. I got tired of hearing the same information over and over. Thank god I was doing home projects while listening, but I still regret picking this one.

Really enjoying this podcast. I must admit I somewhat remember the case and don’t remember hearing the verdict. Really like the fact that they work hard to set out several timelines of the victims and the accused. Appreciate the work done.

This was an interesting podcast, but there is absolutely no reason it needed to be 13 episodes. Going over court transcripts for several episodes was a waste. I get that there is a lot of info, but it could have been edited to 8 or 9 episodes.
