Captures the the beauty, pain and glory of not just boxing, but of professional sport as a whole
I’ve been listening to Costello and Bunce for years now, and as a total non-boxing fan before, this podcast has given me huge enjoyment in something I had no interested in previously. Insightful interviews, expert commentary and cutting humour all in equal measure. I love the big fight coverage, especially the shorter build up pods in fight week, but my favourite episodes are always the in depth look at boxing’s niches and eccentric characters who perform some of sport’s most unusual roles, like the cut man episode. One topic I’d love to hear covered; what is the benefit/drawback of fighters moving up and down weight classes? What fighters have done it well and who has performed brilliantly in one class but failed to deliver when moving up or down? With fighters performing physiological miracles to cut weight before gaining it all back before fight night, are weight classes as stringent as they could be? Keep up the excellent work.

Love the podcast, speaks boxing in a language that non boxing purists can understand. Really enjoy the interviews with the coaches and trainers in particular, gives a great insight to the perpetration the boxers go through.

Love the podcast guys. Great work every week. like how you don’t discriminate between different promotors, just boxing fans👍.

By far the best boxing podcast available, whether British or beyond. Costello & Bunce are a great pair - could do with a little Barry Jones though!
