Six Minute Sermons has been so much fun over the past couple of years. I've enjoyed proclaiming the Bible in a short 6-minute format, but I think it's time to take an indefinite break. What is rest biblically? Is there a difference between spiritual rest and physical rest? How do spiritual rest and physical rest relate to one another? The atrocities that have been revealed concerning sexual abuse in the Southern Baptist Convention are sickening and heartbreaking. What has happened cannot and will not stay hidden. It is no controversial thing to say "sexual abuse is sinful." However, with the reports coming out about sexual abuse in the SBC, it seems that it needs to be said. As an organization, the SBC cannot stand by and do nothing. While sins are individual choices, their effects run far and wide. My thoughts here are...
