The info is really great but that voice is groaning. Like a 15 yo whining. Make your voice match your intellect.

Love the pod and you Ange but please sort out the vocal fry it’s so grating, I sometimes turn it off because of it. Pls!

Did you dig in to RAHU for this piece? Instead of YouTubers you can find actual advocacy groups working through this crisis who have a real story. RAHU or Renters and housing union has gone national and work to support social housing and those who can’t help themselves

Can the host cut out the vocal fry? Her voice sounds terrible. It’s VERY annoying and undermines her credibility when she’s talking and asking questions. Why is she afraid of her own voice?

Incredibly biased when it comes to reporting on Palestine. From the river to the sea.

To be clear, this was my favourite podcast but I can not and will not support Schwartz Media ever again. Shame on zionists.
capsikim10000 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 02/03/24
I love Schwartz media generally with all its offerings and insights on news and literature. 7 am is a daily ritual for me with its insightful and accessible unpacking of important news stories and events in our world.

I tend to agree with a lot that is presented on this show but it disappoints me when someone has an opposing view to the gist of this channel they are labelled a culture warrior or alike. The truth of it would be you use the same tactics as the supposed other side.

If you find the ABC too far right 😂 for you, then 7am is perfect for you. Super lefty and extremely woke. Hardly any bipartisan journalism here.
JJMLeopard via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 01/17/24
I will no longer be supporting, following and listening to a show that is owned by Zionists that support and are complicit in the genocide of Palestine. There has been woeful coverage of this issue, the episodes that talk about it are clearly impacted by bias from the people who own the company.

Curious where your funding comes from; seems to be hard on anyone other than the left? Woke estate?

Today’s report was the last straw. I have to unfollow your media podcast as it grows increasingly left-leaning and impartial. Media is suffering due to its constant need to push some agenda. All consumers really want is report on data and not opinions coloured by someone’s background or paradigm....Read full review »

Good on most things, but lost all credibility when they can’t accurately report on Palestine.
touchmeimdick26 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 12/09/23
Disappointed by the coverage of the war on Palestine. Was already getting bored of their coverage but this is the last straw.

I’ve been a long time listener of this podcast but I’ve been really disappointed by their coverage of the Israel-Hamas “conflict”. I’m Friday’s episode they spoke about the very real problem and rise of antisemitism without once mentioning the thriving Islamophobia in this country, didn’t mention...Read full review »

Such boring content, barely worth listening to, and now sponsored by Uber. Zionist rag.

Really enjoying this straight up, no nonsense morning news programme.

Great journalism but after listening to Zali Steggall discussing lack of action by both sides of government on climate change then to hearing an ad for Kleenheat makes my blood boil 🤬

Every morning making breakfast and lunch for the day I am informed by outstanding journalism beyond ridiculous commentary and opinion that plagues many other publications. Thankyou for your thoroughness and attention to often missed stories and abuses of power, Well Done!!

So, they ask us to do the voice yes or no in our opinion, and then greatly sway our opinion towards yes with propaganda and facts that don’t hold up in the slightest. Think about that

Congratulations on an excellent series by Daniel James. Balanced, analytic, informative. A lot of thought and time has gone into this. Thank you

Enjoying the voice series. But you do gloss over the ATSIC scandal that was the impetus for John Howard to disband the organisation. Can I suggest you delve into this a bit deeper please Cheers Mark

Hello - iron ore is not fossil fuel!! It is not coal or gas!! Your story missed this point and painted an incongruence that was over-stated. Twiggy is on the right track. Heat deaths are occurring right now from our inaction to address global warming. The media needs to upskill and report on an...Read full review »

I have listened to this show for years, before it had its success. I am very sorry to say that it has become a bit of a joke. It seems like a greens outfit with all of the intellectual heft that entails (very little). Honestly it has become a deeply unserious show and that is very disappointing.

Phil Lowe did not “promise” to not raise rates, contrary to the statement in today’s pod! Great Robodebt coverage recently

I love 7am but have to say the recent series of reports on Robodebt was truly outstanding. I have been following this issue closely and so I thought I was pretty well across the whole situation but was outraged to realise the level of intent. The way the series of reports were broken down to look...Read full review »

I listen every day and find the 7am analysis to be thorough and insightful. Love their Aus politics team and Rick Morton is a rare gem in journalism - a genuinely empathetic style as well as being detailed and well researched. And YES it leans left, it is very clearly declared - and frankly I’m...Read full review »

Thank you for providing more information on Robodebt. What a shameful period!! Let’s hope some of those responsible are made to pay for their actions & therefore held up as examples of what not to do when serving & acting in the public good!!

The Whistleblower…what a fantastic episode, thank you. And having just listened to The Mother…I have tears of anger and pride. Thank goodness for people like them both. I love 7am, and this Robo-debt series is another display of outstanding journalism and podcasting. The series should be compulsory listening for all public servants of which I am one. Great work again Rick Morton, loved listening to you.

Brilliant series - huge congratulations to Rick and the team for presenting this. Thinking of Jenny Miller and all the victims. I really hope justice is served. Inspired by Colleen Taylor in the way she stood up to the system. Thank you 7am!

I love the content in this podcast. It covers topics and opinions which others won’t go near. I have learned quite a few things while listening. Ruby is good. One improvement: ‘mmm’ is not an appropriate way to respond to an interviewee. It conveys disinterest and even immaturity. She asks very...Read full review »

Wow this podcast leans to one side. Just listened to the episode on school funding and the host is literally berating me as a listener - it’s exhausting.

The content of 7AM is mostly good quality. The editorial stance is generally predictable and lacks some nuance on occasion though. No one it seems is pure enough, and yet the podcasts are often sponsored by advertising from financial services companies. That doesn’t worry me as such, but it seems...Read full review »

Update: have now unsubbed. Too much bias, and I’m a leftie!!!!! Generally good podcast on my regular rotation of morning listens for years now. Love 7am , but what happened to The Politics podcast, as advertised in theSchwarz media promo in the 7am podcast. It’s appears to be longer in my saved pods, also hadn’t had an update since December ? I loved it. I miss it.
