Not a serious true crime podcast.
When I listen to true crime podcasts I expect them to have a pretty serious tone. “Crime Junkies” is wonderful and they add the perfect amount of personal information but they make sure to maintain the level of seriousness that’s needed. You’re talking about victims of murders, assaults, etc. and I just feel like cracking jokes the whole time makes it seem like the hosts don’t care as much as they should. Obviously that’s not what’s happening, but when a story of someone being murdered or raped or whatever the case may be is being shared in a podcast episode there needs to be a certain level of respect that’s maintained. Great show if you don’t want to think about how serious these events actually are though, but, that should never be the case because brothers, sisters, daughters, sons, wives, etc. are losing their lives. It’s not something to turn into a “fun” episode.

Meh
Don’t love it. Really wanted to, but the commentary was mostly snark and very little humor.
