Compelling
I vividly recall as a 10 year old seeing the first TV report of Azaria’s disappearance and reading about it in the local paper. Throughout the years I followed the events unfold and saw the daily reports of the Chamberlains arriving and leaving court, giving TV appearances and like all other Australians of the era had an opinion on what happened. The death of Azaria was such a talking point in the 80’s and this podcast captures exactly the mood of the nation as I remember it. Rumors, comments on the Chamberlains and the legal battle dominated Australia and much of it was hostile and ill-informed. This podcast is fascinating in terms of the silent witnesses whose voice was lost in the hysteria of the time. Well researched and with much detail that has previously been unknown such as what the NT government knew before the Chamberlains arrived at Uluru. A sad chapter in our history. What I like the most is how this podcast never forgets that at its heart, this tragic event is about the terrible death of a baby girl and the impact on her parents, siblings and family.

From the first episode I was hooked, binged the rest in a day. Fascinating listening. I’m also amused at the 1 str reviews for this show, they need new “the dingo is innocent” T-shirt’s for Christmas.
