An excellent analysis of an excellent anime!
I just picked up the Blu-ray collection for this wonderful show. I was disappointed because there are so few extras on it. Fortunately, this podcast more than makes up for it. The host, Jason Alme, has a degree in film. His observations are incisive and enable the viewer to appreciate KOR on a deeper level. I love how he gives this series the “Criterion Treatment.” Now, START LISTENING! 🙏🏽🦊
KOR Musings and Introspection
An entertaining and thoughtful show for the serious fan of Izumi Matsumoto’s “Kimagure Orange Road” with a focus on the anime based on it. Host Jason provides passionate introspection on the series’ episodes and characters, along with critical and technical analysis. Often with comparisons to today’s social political norms and customs from a Western cultural perspective.
Excellent podcast about KOR
I grew up in France in the 90's and KOR was on prime time on TV. The story, the characters and this endless summer triggered some warm feelings for me as well. It still resonates in a nice way. The host perfectly masters the topic. Thank you for your hard work !
