“I feel like her social media episode really solidified her stance on issues facing the black community and BIPOC as something that’s not worth her time and truly just showed how out of touch she is when it comes to issues that don’t directly affect her. All the anti-racism work she was supposedly doing back in June seems like it didn’t do much for her. The episode just gave privileged white girl who made it about her rather than taking the back seat like white ppl should be doing during the movement and focusing on amplifying black voices and using their platform to bring awareness. Choosing to “stay out” of politics and listening to both sides when one side is literally denying people basic human rights is suchhhhh a privileged stance. Being able to listen to where someone is coming from is extremely privileged and I hope she can understand that it’s literally not that simple when your livelihood is at stake for not being white.”
