Astonishingly bad
I really can’t believe how astonishingly bad these lectures are. He reads Plato like an instruction manual, taking for granted Socrates’ complaints (which he outright conflates with Plato’s) against drama, poetry, etc., without once stopping to consider WHY Plato would choose to write all of this...Read full review »

I am not sure but my impression is that those lectures are too detailed and long lectures for sider issues of philosophy of art such as forms, poetry, the psychology of the artisans, etc.., you should listen very carefully to find out the core-philosophical essence of the aesthetics.
