An excellent, fun series on socialist feminism and the life and works of Alexandria Kollontai. The lectures are broken up into bite-sized 15 minutes pieces, wherein Professor Ghodsee evaluates one of Kollontai's works and then gives an impassioned reading from excerpts of the piece in question. As someone new to leftism and leftist criticism, I devoured the first several episodes in one sitting. It is engaging and entertaining. Professor Ghodsee knows her material and her commentary is helpful, but it never detracts from the focus on Kollentai's work.Read full review »

As a graduate student whose eyes are constantly tired from reading on a screen, I cannot recommend this podcast enough as a means to listen to an incredible scholar who brings Kollontai to life in the 21st century! I always look forward to new episodes and Ghodsee’s commentary!
