“I have been breastfeeding my daughter for 19 months. It was a difficult journey. I was evaluated by THREE lactation specialists at the hospital I gave birth in NYC (Weill Cornell Presbyterian), then I got advise by several supposedly best LCs in New York City. There was almost no improvement and too much pressure, bullying and conflicting information from those specialists. I also spent hours and hours every night reading everything I could on Kelly Mom and La Leche League websites. I also joined my local breastfeeding support group. There was so much information but none of that helped. After almost a year and lots more help from an osteopath, homeopath, feeding specialist and a myofasial release therapist my breastfeeding finally got a bit easier.
However, during the first 6 months my daughter went down to below 3rd percentile in weight (from 50th) and I was a living zombie from the nursing strikes and low milk supply. If I HAD ONLY known about this podcast then. I'm listening to it now and just after a few episodes I found the information that I desperately needed at that difficult time and wasn't able to get. The "Barbs" give you the newest most relevant information, they are supportive and objective.
I thought that I knew everything there was to know about breastfeeding by now, after 19 months of doing it and studying it so thoroughly, but I learned so much more from this podcast! For
I want to continue breastfeeding for as long as my daughter wants it and I can't get enough of this podcast. It keeps on giving!
Please please listen! I will send it to all of my friends who are breastfeeding and expecting as well as to my lactation support group.
Thank you so much, Barb &Barb, keep doing great work!”Read full review »

They are knowledgeable and confident, but still friendly and encouraging. I look forward to each new...”Read full review »
