“I bought the Pocket Stations of the Cross for Lent by Dr. Sri and as a direct result, found this podcast. I began listening and was a little taken aback at the Christmas one about the song Mary, Did You Know? (12/21)
The songwriter is not at all dogmatic that Mary didn’t know — It’s a song who’s intent is to help us reflect on Jesus and His Majesty and Splendor on His Birthday.
To use Scripture to “disprove” each verse of the song was probably very helpful for those who are unfamiliar with the Scriptures …. But to end it “proving” that Mary didn’t ‘need to be delivered’ —with absolutely no-Scriptural basis —rather anti-climatic, at best.”
