Genuine, refreshing, and timely
I thought I’d left a review before now. I guess I should do that. Eh, these guys are alright. ;) Seriously though, I’d been doing the deconstruction process mostly on my own for a few years when I found the podcast, still loving Jesus but feeling like the church’s approach was so wrong. I’d started seeing how much Jesus spoke against power, and was really disheartened as I got a glimpse behind the curtain and saw the church’s love for that same power. It was isolating and discouraging. I really appreciate how the guys look right at power, because it really is so much a part of the biblical narrative and so much a part of what the church gets so wrong. I’m super thankful for Nate and Tim as they’re genuinely sharing their own deconstruction processes, welcoming others into the conversation, learning out loud as they go, and trying to actually live in the implications of it all. It’s been so affirming of my own experience. Thanks to both of you!

It’s so obvious now that many people who translated the english version of the Bible would have been giving in to their own...Read full review »

I have just started this podcast, but I am already in love. The podcasters don't claim to have all the answers, but they do have really great questions and are thinking through their own thoughts to these questions. It is refreshing to have well-researched theological insight that is willing...Read full review »
