A Necessary and Refreshing Examination of the Gospel
I can't say enough about how thorough and thoughtful both Tim and Nate are in crafting the content of the podcast. I've really benefited from their willingness to dig into a space that is uncomfortable for a lot of people. I'm glad that they have chosen to be brave in their search for what is true and right while gently guiding the audience. They don't skip over the hurt or trauma that so many of us have experienced, and they don't skimp on the glorious news of Jesus. It's balanced, and they have a pretty comprehensive perspective from many theological perspectives; I feel more informed about where I can dig in even more with follow up study. This is not a sales pitch. They are not out to win you over for the sake of getting more followers. It is people geniunely following their curiousity and empathy to explore all of the possibilities of what Jesus might have for humanity. I can't recommend it enough.Read full review »

Great insights into theology but the hosts all too readily apply bad theology to Trump and his supporters in the church. Trump has no theology. Gets old after a while. If they focused on bad theology and it’s implications within the church I would give 5 stars

So thankful for these guys. I love all the questions and exploration of the Bible. If you question traditional orthodoxy but don’t have any footing this is the podcast for you. They were a big help when I started my faith journey, I hope they would do the same for you.

I thought I’d left a review before now. I guess I should do that. Eh, these guys are alright. ;) Seriously though, I’d been doing the deconstruction process mostly on my own for a few years when I found the podcast, still loving Jesus but feeling like the church’s approach was so wrong. I’d...Read full review »
