Such a familiar story
Good podcast. I deal with this type of thing in my own family. It’s so interesting how people believe in the most ridiculous conspiracy theories. I’ve been following the conspiracy theories since I heard that 9/11 was an inside job. Back on the day it was announced that Osama bin Laden was killed, I was on Facebook arguing with old high school classmates about whether or not Osama was killed in the Battle of Tora Bora in 2001. They were completely convinced that he was dead and we were all fools. They even showed me a clearly doctored photo. Now I had this argument prior to the news being released about bin Laden so of course I had no idea Pres. Obama was gonna make this announcement that night. In my mind the Alex Jones types were in the deep dark spaces of the word and would never be mainstreamed. Some of these new conspiracy “theorist” make Alex Jones look like a complete joke. Keep up the good work!

This story helped me realise how depressed I have been since 1/6when all my white, Southern friends and family labeled me as a communist because I voted for Biden and was appaled by the riot at the capitol.
