Flat, biased, does not back up claims with evidence
Update 04.03.21- The latest podcast continued to focus more on former President Trump than the actual policies and activities of the current President. Very little scrutiny of the bills being voted on in The House or the many executive orders signed by President Biden. The hosts have continued their attacks on Cruz, the first Hispanic Senator elected to represent Texas, which seem disproportionate when you take into account the level of scandal. (There’s no shortage of scandal in DC, as a starting point check out Eric Swalwell and his connection to a Chinese Communist Party spy, or the four Senators who sold stock after a private Covid briefing, before the Covid response crashed the stock market). There was some cautious coverage of the Cuomo scandals. Update 25.02.21- Nice to see the Americast crew cover the Cuomo scandal this week. It isn’t just ‘coming out in the last few weeks’ as stated though, people were blowing the whistle on this in April 2020. (Start with Janice Dean if you’d like to do your own research on this). I see Americast doesn’t aim to be ahead of the curve. That’s their prerogative. There are plenty of other podcasts that do. I wonder when they’ll cover the Hunter Biden laptop in detail. Probably once CNN and WaPo decide it’s acceptable. Would have been nice to have a deep dive into that prior to the election. Update 20.02.21- I see Americast has done an episode about the ‘Cruz scandal’, fair enough, this was a political gaffe and bad optics, but I see nothing about the Cuomo scandal which is potentially criminal, most likely led to the deaths of many elderly New Yorkers, reportedly manipulated the figures and threatened those around him to participate in the cover up. Completely biased and an injustice to the British people you claim to inform. The presenters sound downright giddy in their criticism of Ted. No context was given to the British people about the actual role of a US Senator in a state crisis (very limited) and many claims were made that Ted was dishonest in his account (with no evidence presented). Tony Tinderholt handled himself very well in his interview and showed up the hosts who wanted to focus on Ted Cruz, rather than the real issues and solutions for Texans that are suffering. Also in discussing and criticising Texas government, attacking ‘rugged individualism’ in what is an extreme weather event in Texas, there was no mention of California where a power outage is a ‘normal Tuesday’. Original review- I keep coming back to this Podcast and really want to like it but it is essentially three people who all agree with each other discussing a subject they don’t have any specialist knowledge of. At time key facts are either omitted or reported inaccurately. None are experts on The Constitution or have inside knowledge or relationships to the people they're discussing. They also don’t present any real evidence to back up their opinions. This might work for some people, but unfortunately it just doesn’t do it for me. I want a podcast that teaches me something new or at least features some level of intelligent debate. They also fail to capture the mood of America, and often parrot the talking points of the Cable News media.Read full review »

First episode was informative, fun and clear and personable. Look forward to more of the same for November and beyond.

Just put one episode on and it had to be the most one-sided, unbalanced piece of reporting I’ve heard in a long time. Is this supposed to be neutral in any way or not???
