It's another round of Commentary on the Commentary, and this time, it's Eclipse with author Stephenie Meyer and producer Wyck Godfrey. So many questions... 

What influenced Stephenie Meyer when she created the Twilight Saga? Mel and Kel talk (over the phone) about the literature, music, and life events that inspired the books. Who are Bella, Edward, and Jacob really? This week we explore the characters through astrology and Myers Briggs personality types. Kel & Mel are admittedly not astrology experts (don't hurt us!), but Mel did her research. Then Kelly uses her Myers-Briggs obsession to attempt typing each character. We take the MBTI test pretending to be Jacob… and guess the trio’s Sex and the City types! 

Last Tuesday, our Instagram account was shut down and all of our episodes briefly disappeared from Spotify, Apple Podcast, etc. We heard that tons of other Twilight fan accounts were shut down on Instagram, too. What's going on?? Is someone after us all?  Luckily (awkwardly) our account is back after lots of effort trying to get Instagram's attention. We talk about the whole situation, fandom on the internet, copyright vs. fandom, and social media on the whole. 

Jacob, Leah, Seth, Sam, Paul, Quil, Embry, Jared...We're reading the Official Illustrated Guide again and this time, it's all about the Quileute wolves. And there's so much to discuss! Who is Embry's father?? What's up with the Children of the Moon? What happens if a werewolf is stabbed in the heart? Or if a wolf is married *then* imprints? Such drama. Plus, we try to come up with a new Twilight book name...

Kel & Mel cover the Official Illustrated Guide’s chapters on vampires and the Cullen coven, sharing details left out of the books. There’s a section about vampire FLUIDS, and we wonder why didn’t Carlisle turn Elizabeth Masen into a vampire. He wasn’t into her? Other thoughts: Esme is the only Cullen without a car; Jasper is possibly more tortured than Edward; and why did Stephenie Meyer choose to make Renesmee’s birthday 9/11?
