Season 3 is the best audio storytelling out there
Every season of this show gets more and more ambitious with its story telling. Season 1 seems like a by-the-books cosmic horror mystery, but the next seasons add characters and build out the world and magic elements into something truly fantastic and unique. I get why S2 threw some people off, it’s more rough and (at first) bleak than the first, but at the end of the day it builds a beautiful story. It does pick up right after S1, but takes time to show you what’s really going on. At it’s core, A81’s characters are all driven by love for their friends and family, and it drives very human-centric plots in this fantastical world. Also S3 really is beautiful, telling the story of a new set of characters that builds on our first story while also standing strong on its own. I relisten to it frequently! (Also this is VERY different to TMA, they’re both great, but I personally prefer A81’s faster-paced story telling)

Uncanny and unnerving. A skillfully conceived radio play with just the right amount of suspense. All I want out of it is more episodes.
