As soon as I finished the last episode, I immediately wanted to start the series over again. Loved the writing and was utterly charmed by the acting. Can't wait for season 2!Read full review »

Wow
This show is brilliant and beautiful. I didn’t quite click to the theme until halfway through. It was recommended to me via myths and legends and I have not regretted it. One of the best podcasts I have ever listened to. Keep it up! Can’t wait for season 2!!!

Ok
Good story but long winded with corny dialogue :/

Some of the best dialog pacing I’ve heard in modern Audio Dramas.

The plot seems a bit rote and underwhelming. The same story has been told a million times. I found the hosts a little grating. Cannot be mentioned in the same breath as the Black Tapes and Limetown. No way.

It’s torture waiting for the next episode

I like the ending and the heart felt way it ended. There were times throughout that the character development wasn’t my favorite, but in the end it worked.

I love the story, the music, and acting. But. The volume is a killer! It goes from loud to quiet to variable from the actors screaming or yelling that I can’t imagine a person listening to it with earphones. I’m listening in the car and with a Bluetooth speaker and it’s difficult!
Damiawinters via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/01/19
Both characters play well against each other. The commercials during the podcast is hilarious.

I love this podcast so much! It’s a mystery that has genuinely kept me engaged throughout all the episodes - it’s both absolutely hilarious and pretty unsettling, as well as having amazing music and great voice acting!

Thoroughly enjoying the show. Characters are fun. Story is interesting. Love the style of storytelling. Volume needed to hear the dialogue is so high that then when the characters yell or otherwise get loud it actually hurts. You turn it down as fast as you can and then miss important dialogue...Read full review »

This podcast works too hard to be silly and over thematic vs telling a good story. Disappointing.

I have no idea how they can top season 1, which was and is and will always be freaking fantastic. If you like investigative stories with engaging characters and a large dollop of absurdity, this is the show for you. My single complaint as a hard of hearing person is that sometimes the volume is...Read full review »

Thank you for just making this fun! I didn’t know what I had gotten into after the first episode, but continuing on was an absolute pleasure. Laughing out loud with my headphones in always got curious looks. Please continue with this remarkable cast!!

Arden is fantastic, it kept me highly entertained and on the edge of my seat till the very end; I can’t wait for Season 2! The entire cast did a marvelous job; Brenda’s assistant is my favorite.

This is probably one of my favourite podcasts ever, which is saying a lot as an avid podcast listener. It combines my two favourite things, comedy and true crime, whilst having amazing characters in it.

I couldn’t find these two arguing over and over anything other than annoying. But maybe that’s the point. I don’t know. This one just isn’t for me.

This is a terrific story. Very, very funny but gets serious when it needs too. A talented cast that gives a funny and well paced performance. Michelle Agresti (one of the best voice actors out there) and Tracey Sayed really play off of each other well. I can’t recommend it higher!

love Bea and Brenda.

Arden is a hilarious thoughtful podcast that encapsulates everything I love about true-crime and, being fictional, avoids everything that I hate and/or critiques it within the narrative of the show. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, the narrative is interesting, and the sound design is...Read full review »

I enjoyed the dynamic between Brenda and Bea and thought the case was interesting. But the Andy Wheyface stuff got to be way too over the top and distracting as the season went on.

Arden is a brilliant feat of true crime parody by shaping the characters into relatable, hilarious, and well-thought out people. I’ve been listening to a lot of audio drama podcasts lately and this is one of the best in terms of engaging story and quality voice acting and dialogue. Definitely worth a listen and I’m curious to see where they go if a second season gets funded.

I adore this podcast, it’s one of the best pieces of fiction I have heard. I was lucky enough to meet the creators once. The whole project is well worth your time and written by fantastic people!

Somehow manages to combine a buddy comedy and a dramatic, extremely compelling murder mystery without either ever feeling out of place. And the resolution is killer. One of my favorite new podcasts.

At first glance, I wasn’t sure about whether I wanted to listen to Arden, as the cover art for the podcast is not very compelling. But! The show is really well done. It’s funny, clever, and well-written. And it has queer main characters! Always a plus in my book. My only critique is that...Read full review »

A cast of lovable eccentric characters, a plot twist for the ages, Arden is a beautifully performed podcast full of laughs, mystery, and intrigue. The “ads” are absolutely hilarious. Keep up the amazing work!!

Really loved the chemistry of the two hosts. And Andy Wheyface is creepy but i kinda miss him now. I love how distrubing the ending was, oops, was that a spoiler?! Anyway, cannot wait for season 2.

Arden does a wonderful job of exploring the True Crime genre without ignoring the ethical questions that underlie it, and does a wonderful job of acknowledging the consequences these public investigations can have for innocent people caught up in the central events. But it also does all that...Read full review »

Loved this take on the true crime trope . Balances the satire and comedy so well, and somehow still feels like the true crime guilty pleasure show.😂😂

By the end of episode 1, this podcast has everything you could ask for in a fictional comedy-drama. If you like the "banter from a pair of talking heads" format but wished it had more focus and intrigue, listen to Arden.
