One of my favorites
Two themes that usually draw me to a podcast are science and mystery. Ars Paradoxica not only has these, but also weaves them together effortlessly. This podcast has everything you want - time travel, scientific innovation, intrigue, manipulation, betrayal, and mystery. I would have to say Mischa Stanton is one of the draws, as well. Their sound maneuvering makes setting the scene a joy for my ears. I also really love how Kristen DeMercurio plays Sally Grisholm, the main character, who stumbles over herself socially and gets caught in other people’s webs constantly. There’s something about Sally that people may find frustrating, but I find her endearing - I guess it’s because I feel a kinship with her. At the beginning, the draw isn’t quite there, but I was determined to see how Sally dealt with being sent to the past. I love this podcast and recommend it to whoever I can. Unfortunately, none of them have the passion I do for the storyline, but I’m going to keep trying to convince them!

I love the time travel mechanics at play here; it’s surprisingly original and really interesting. Since the cast of characters is pretty well-sized, it can occasionally be hard to follow who’s talking, but the ones that I am able to keep track of I love a lot. Sally Grissum is so wonderful.
