Guest Speaker : Prof. Naomi Sugimoto / Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, Keio University - In thislecture/discussion, we will discuss issues surroundingIndonesian nurses who came to train in Japan under the Japan-IndonesiaEconomic Partnership Agreement (“JIEPA”).In the first part, a brief lecture will review basic conditions of JIEPAthat came into effect in 2008. Pros and cons of the agreement will also bepresented. Following that, in the second part, we will open the floor todiscussion. We will then close our discussion by proposing possiblesolutions to the existing problems stemming from the agreement.
