Carried on an atmospheric tide
I saw the stage production at the Edinburgh Fringe a few years ago, so I knew I was in for a treat, but this is a beautifully realised audio version. It captures the bleak isolation, and the tenderness of the relationships, carrying the listener on an atmospheric tide of song and speech. Looking forward to the story unfolding!

What a wonderful find. The most beautifully constructed story around the lives of the inhabitants of Hirta. A strong and hardy community that faced many challenges in an almost inhospitable climate and how the eventual outcome was unavoidable.
