The first of all the commandments

Description
The first of all the commandments: On arrival in Jerusalem, Jesus meets opposition. These passages are not in the Lectionary, but they lead to Jesus' encounter with a Scribe. Acting as a lawyer, he seeks the one commandment that covers all the commandments. Jesus' response comes from Israel's tradition, but it is a new commandment as the love of God and love of neighbour are combined. Finally, a Jewish leader accepts Jesus' teaching, and is not far from the Kingdom. Presented by world-renowned biblical scholar Rev. Professor Francis J. Moloney SDB AM, Audio Divina, is a Lectio-Divina styled reflection on the gospel for the 31st Sunday of Ordinary Time, Year B.
