Very interesting convo. I like the length. The polling podcast also created food for thought. So much is riding on this election for me including the position of treatment of women in the workplace, and the treatment of women who are older can’t find work and have no financial, and housing security.

Katharine, First - thank you for your excellent work. Really interesting topics. However, I’ve noticed that you’re using the ‘ya Know’ gap filler a lot...a real lot. Not as much as other journalists but a lot nevertheless. This minor speech impediment is not confined to you. Adam Morton was...Read full review »

We’re buying an EV because we haven’t spent money overseas. Alison I have the Gillard doco really confronting particularly because it was part of my history and one only had a small insight into what was happening. As Tosca said the future hopefully will be better as we all support these...Read full review »

I really like this show but as a 49 year old male must pull you up, and apparently your colleagues, for finding Josh and Scott living together as ‘weird’. If any group need to be encouraged to connect it is middle aged / elderly males - big retrograde step in mental health promotion for you to...Read full review »

Frankly, until listening to this conversation with Matt Canavan, I’d always written him off as an inconsequential red-neck, a mindless spruiker for the coal industry, only previously elevated to a Ministry due to his relationship with the recently resurrected Deputy PM, his one-time boss. I...Read full review »

To sequester carbon in the soil, farmers DO NOT lock up land. Sequestering carbon in the soil is built through managing the land to increase soil organic matter. This involves livestock and crops i.e. agriculture. Sequestering carbon in agricultural soil is essential if we are going to continue...Read full review »

I wonder if there's a way to turn off the microphone sometimes: Canavan talked over Katherine most of the time and turned the entire interview into a 'party political broadcast'. I guess cleverly on Katherine's part, she allowed him to blather to the point that demonstrated his...Read full review »

Avid listener of the podcast, but this episode has got to be your best yet Katherine. Important contribution to the debate on a women’s place in Parliament at a critical time, focusing on the matters of substance and ways to improve culture.

Great interview with Ms Banks and her suggestions. Looking forward to the show on ABC

This is strictly a middle-of-the-road, left-of-the-moderate-left kind of podcast from the “Guardian Australia” website. Tune in to hear how many times the host can say “right?” in between every clause of a conditional hypothetical to her guest.

Katherine's guest, Matt must be the most capable of the Nationals' offerings - he's intelligent, educated (as an economist we are informed) & articulate taking the age old tactic of denying oxygen to anyone who might disagree and scattering alarming scare-stories to detract from...Read full review »

This is how political broadcasting should be done: air the fundamental beliefs of both sides directly to each other and talk it out. Very satisfying and informative. I feel more confident of my own position.

Matt Canavan for PM. Finally an honest and open discussion of both sides of the climate debate apart from Katherine’s catastrophising

Even manages to make Matt Canavan sound good. Katharine Murphy is a maestro.

A robust, frustrating but interesting insight into, in my opinion, ridiculous, no evidence based , one- eyed policy. Yes, will he apologise to his children? Also, congratulations Katherine on staying relatively calm!!

Always great Particularly good this week with that man who would exchange a horse and buggy for a car. It is always good to listen to what is the thought process of a person with opposing views. Thank you

This episode was extremely challenging to listen to all the way through without screaming or turning it off to save one’s sanity. Presents as a considered and principled man. Reminded me of Dave Sharma. The focus of this podcast has changed. It used to explore and tease out context and nuance and prosecute fairness. It is becoming a mouthpiece for politicians to spruik their views unchallenged. Disappointing
