“Decided to give this podcast a try amid the award season, but had to stop listening after they referred to 2 Black women missing the Best Actress category as “disappointing”, but implored listeners to celebrate “diversity” in other categories. One Black woman has won best actress in the history of the Academy Awards, and it’s because of people like the hosts that excuse these oversights by giving themselves a pat on the back for doing the bare minimum.
Also, the episodes are way too long given that it’s mostly the hosts repeating each other over & over. The nomination predictions episode is a perfect example of this - do you really need each person to read all 10 of their predicted films when you all have the same 7-8?”
