I had to give up on this one
A shame because the author/podcaster is clearly so well versed in the subject matter and a different take on the subject is clearly, sorely needed to realise these were intricate people that just happened to end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. But the host is…bitter, almost angry at other historians and will often slate them or take their work out of context to portray them negatively. One example is when she challenges another historian (who she disrespectfully calls Ripperologists) who quips that she should read his book. She childishly responds you should read mine! But the fact she hasn’t even researched the other historians’ materials she is attacking just goes to show this a personal vendetta for the author. In the end, this just left such a bad taste in my mouth and by around episode 14 I’m tapping out because there’s less about the events / lives of the victims and more about her tirade against people who are researching the murderer.

Meh
It’s kind of interesting, but doesn’t really grab the attention. And the theme song is a bit much! I think this might be better as a show where the story can be enhanced by visuals. Not great in the form of a podcast.
