BRILLIANT podcast! But what’s with the changing accent?
I’ve very much enjoyed all episodes of this deeply researched, well-produced, and well-written podcast. It provides a fresh and badly needed perspective on a hideous part of the true crime industry, and sheds light on how our attitudes towards poverty, sex work, and women generally have influenced the popularity of the Ripper story and all its spin-offs. I do have to ask what motivates the highly effective host to switch her accent over to something closer to an American one whenever she interviews and interacts with an American guest. It drove me crazy every time! Thank you Ms. Rubenhold. I hope there are more podcasts in your future.

More reviews of Bad Women: The Blackout Ripper
A fantastic podcast focusing on the life and times of the female victims of The Ripper in a bleak Victorian era. Like many murdered women since, they’ve been tainted by their poverty and circumstance, rather than seen as victims. Well done for giving the a voice.

This is such an incredible podcast and so concerning with the victim blaming that still continues today. We have so much to learn as a society and individually from this podcast.
