Rachael is an amazing story teller.
Being older than I ever thought I would get, the story of Spiro is a foggy memory of my past. Back then I was a Republican like my father. My mother was a Democrat who made Edith Bunker seem like a Conservative. My father made Archie look like a moderate by comparison. To say my view of the events surrounding Agnew’s fall from grace were distorted from both sides was an understatement. What I wouldn’t give to be able to listen to Bag Man with the two of them. Rachael included not only the story of the event but why people on both sides felt the way they did. She made the common wisdom of the day understandable from both sides perspective. Probably the most memorable aspect of this story that Rachael presented were the characters that actually lived this story. I have a real respect and affection for players and the moral and decent way they went about their business. Bag Man was the first podcast I listened to. It is still the best in my mind. Thank you Rachael.
