A superb audio documentary that parallels “Slow Burn” in content and quality
This is a podcast that tackles the story of the Spiro Agnew’s resignation from the Vice Presidency with similar quality as Slow Burn did for Richard Nixon. In spite of her famous reputation as a political commentator, the host is actually very effective at remaining neutral in her storytelling and avoids voicing her opinion and making remarks that would be unwarranted or distracting from the central narrative. It is clear that the writing was carefully and professionally researched, while remaining accessible without feeling watered down, she brings in present day interviews with key figures in the narrative. The editing is consistently excellent that keeps the narrative going at a solid and engaging pace. It is as strong of a podcast on this mostly forgotten but still very significant subject as I could have hoped for.
