Not Pilot Pete trying to give love advice
I do not think two white men trying to “justify” a black man’s reasoning for breaking off a relationship with a white woman is appropriate? The trauma Matt had to endure this season— his whole life— is enough. No black person is responsible for the teaching of a white person. Especially not one you’ve basically just met and have decided to date. It’s not like they were married. Peter has no place to talk having jumped from lady to lady with no commitment sticking—“stand by your person, help them learn”. It isn’t Matt’s job to help her learn. In fact, it is probably traumatic for him to even suggest such a thing. It’s appalling that people think Matt owed Rachael a single thing when she is the one who had actions to own up to. Wake up people.
