Infantilize much? Monica is despicable
I am black and I grew up poor. That doesn’t make you a thief or commit crime or be violent. Being poor tells you only one thing about a person…they are poor. Being poor does not equate to poor character. For all her activism and organizing, she is doing a disservice to the poor! Being poor, if you have a functioning brain and parents with ethics, is a temporary state of existence. Screaming racism and inequality like a toddler does nothing good for the poor. Particularly if that’s one’s only exposure to poor people. Poverty doesn’t mean you’re above the law. I bet she wouldn’t believe it if someone told her the vast majority of poor people aren’t violent when they’re offended and don’t steal because their baby needs pampers. She needs therapy.
