“Been listening to this podcast for years, and finally I have had enough of it all. The constant goading, attempts by the presenter to catch out the politician is utterly fruitless. I cannot think anyone gets anything out of this. Debate a point of topic, don't simply try to catch someone out or force someone into a corner. It's gutter politics and the long-time interviewers/presenters on this Radio programme have finally stooped lower than even I can take. We all want a new politics, but it will also take journalists finding a new approach to interviewing and journalism to make it work. It's probably also a reason why so many people cannot connect with politics today. However, I've now found other places I can get much better discussions. Just had enough "Best of Today". Poor show Radio 4, you are way better than this. For what it is worth, when not talking (stabbing) politics, it is pretty good, hence 2 stars.”Read full review »
