“I was really excited about this one. I love NBA/basketball history. But the constant focus by Jackie on race was pretty discouraging. Like there are so many nuggets of greatness and the possibilities of this podcast could have made it one of the best, but there is always this push to speak about the racial side of things. I get it early on but what’s the need to go through and make it a big deal in every episode? It completely ruined the first couple episodes as there was this attempt at relating it to todays athletes. I guess sports must be political/social all the time now too huh? I used to like Jackie…this one gave me a bad taste. There are some definite good spots but overall I was disappointed.”
