Who replaced Judas Iscariot?
Listen now
Description
Matthias may not have written a book of the Bible, but his legacy was written in faith and sacrifice. After Jesus' ascension, the disciples chose Matthias to replace Judas by casting lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. Although Matthias is scarcely mentioned in the Bible, he played a crucial role in the early spread of the gospel and, according to tradition, faced martyrdom for his faith, either in Ethiopia or Jerusalem. Reflecting on Matthias’ journey reminds us that even the quietest, most understated roles can carry immense significance in the grand narrative of faith and in the lives of those around us.
