“This was my go-to podcast before, during, and a little after the pandemic. The topics were informative and relatable. Recently, I’ve been finding myself skipping more and more episodes after attempting to start them. It just isn’t for me anymore.
The good: Early episodes dive into plant species, general/specific care, and are approached with a learner’s mindset. There were no or very few ad interruptions which gave the listener a more personable and pleasant experience.
The bad: There are many ads before, during, during, again during, and after. Yes—I know we all need to make $$$ somehow but there are so many sponsors that I couldn’t even list all of them if I tried. More $ mentions include: high price tag to a subscription to The Garden Party and another group for Planty friends. The topics are not as relatable and the vibe feels a bit pretentious.”
