A little scattered but very good
I tend to like a little tighter editing in historical podcasts so depending on the mood, this can be great and fun or sometimes you might find yourself fast forwarding through babbling. Good thing is this stops after episode 3. Hence all 5 stars. This podcast is really .... true. It is NOT opinion. it’s the best explanation of this era and most thorough. It’s like reading the Nation excerpts on the war with some extra color and all the historical background. That being said, in how completely true it is, it can depress you. Also depends on your mood. I listen to podcasts about war as like an unpaid job. I daily lament our prolonged hot/post-cold war continuing barreling down the hole of British fall out into the never ending calamity that is the UK/US vs the Middle East, but I do feel better knowing that there are 2 guys who took the time to freak out about everything wrong with it in a serialized way. I just like to look at pictures of Baghdad from the 1960s where everyone looks happy - there were at least 2 months where everyone left them alone and they were happy and I’m glad people took pictures. Anyway who cares. Just my opinion. Thanks guys. Love it.

Comes off a little critical of the great Bush administration at times (to be fair I’m not sure they realize how it sounds) but otherwise it’s very informative. Wish there were a few more stories about our boys oversees whoopin’ ass, but hey, I haven’t heard the bonus episodes yet so who knows

The most comprehensive review of the absurdity and embarrassment that was that era. It keeps you entertained while being appalled as well. Amazing job.
