“Fantastic job on the podcast.
I was randomly going through some boxes and I found a book that I read years ago by your now former co-worker Rick Carpinello called Nightmare on 33rd Street: A Long Season with the New York Rangers. It’s an interesting look at a bad Rangers team. It would be an interesting OT or summer nonsense episode to have him on and talk about the book. You should read it if you haven’t.
1) Instead of trading for Eichel, what do you think about the Rangers throwing the bag at Elias Pettersson? It would only cost the rangers draft picks instead of the shiny toys we already have. It would never happen but one can dream.
2) I know a lot of the talk has been the low chances of the Rangers making the playoffs and how just being in the chase will do wonders for the young players on the team. This got me thinking. Given the Rangers are only 4 points back (regardless of the games in hand), they do play the Bruins the last two games of the season. All the Rangers have to do to make it interesting is be 4 points back with 2 games left. Do you think the Rangers can get that close so that the last two games of the season have playoff implications? Just seems even slightly more doable to at least make it interesting when the Bruins are the last two games of the season.
THE TAMP BAY LIGHTNING ARE CHEATING!!
Keep up the great work and Let’s go Rangers!
Cris from Florida.”
