Engaging and Informative
Excellent reporting and slice-of-life stories. I’m from coal-mining country, and the various themes introduced in this podcast (gritty labor, culture created through industry, economic fluctuations, impact on natural lands) resonate with me. Great host, and great journalistic work.

This is an amazingly interesting podcast. I’m up to episode 8. I loved to hear about the grandmas life. I grew up on a farm in the Uk but was riding at 3. Helping to break in horses a few years later. Brings back memories. She sounds like a very tough and good lady.
