Caution: Some good advice, but ignoring therapy is dangerous
There is some good, practical advice in here, but be aware that neither Hansen nor Rosenblum have any background in psychology. This can be especially dangerous in the way that it dismisses therapy as “useless”. Sure, you can use some of these ideas before you completely “fix” yourself, but most therapy programs for eating disorders have ways of immediately managing your behavior as you get to the root cause. So, if you know enough to weed out the nuggets of good information from the advice to ignore therapy, this can be a helpful add on. But also make sure you seek real, professional help.
