An amazing podcast that will stir you to take ownership of this planet that we all share and want to leave behind as a healthy planet for the generations coming after us . Thank you for doing this .

This podcast is an interesting idea and could be great. But the editing is not good and the hosting is hard to stand. Pleases get a voice coach or you should change the host. Very irritating and ruins the podcast.

An update after listening to more. It’s half of a great podcast. Topics are terrific. Deep Fakes and Gene Drives had excellent details and insight. Unfortunately, half of the program is dedicated to wokeness, so objectivity and science is forced to leave the room in favor of how racist and...Read full review »

I enjoy the content of most episodes and can’t fault the choices made for content or the research but the host’s voice annoys along with his plugging for his foundation and his repeated calls to talk about a particular issue at dinners with friends.

I’m a Software Engineer at Amazon, and the themes discussed here makes it way into slack channels and lunch conversations. Love the work, and we’re taking note

As a middle school teacher helping pre-teens to write their own science-fiction in Creative Writing class (Singapore and California), this podcast is very helpful. Great pedagogy, scientific accuracy, dealing with the problem of lack of diversity in cutting-edge science. My students find these...Read full review »

Really enjoy the information in these episodes but my ears just can’t handle all the high-pitched inflections of the narrator’s voice.

Fascinating subjects, cleverly separated into clear chapters, numerous intelligent speakers, and not overly long. Please keep up your fantastic work!

Thank you for this terrific series. The ideas and arguments are presented are so interesting and thought provoking. Prof Lander is such an engaging, articulate presenter and the enthusiasm for the his various subjects makes the whole thing an informative joy. More of this kind of thing!

Honestly, one of the best science podcasts out there, and I am one of those who have listened to many. At first, I thought this would be just another podcast whining about the dangers of future technology, but the different perspectives brought upon by the guests are always varied and...Read full review »

Still learning at 74, I took Prof Lander’s “The Secret of Life”, the best course on EdX. Top scientist, Nobel class, but not above teaching the course himself - and so captivatingly. I am delighted he is also doing the broader Brave New Planet, knowledge is borderless. An invaluable true public...Read full review »

Overviews on the most important issues facing mankind today, explained by world class experts. Entertaining and fun despite the heavy nature of these topics. Insightful stories and honest discussion along the way. My new favorite science podcast.

Only mildly interesting topics. Not really much new information about the topics discussed. If you pay some attention to the news you probably already know 90% of what is presented. This is just a taste thing but the presenter Eric Lander’s style isn’t to my taste. He comes off as if he is...Read full review »

Eric - 3 stars for trying and getting some discussion going. Try having a guest who’s older than 30 for balance. Your Pollyanna appeal to do the right thing is incredibly naive. Most people already are doing fine on the internet. Your audience should be those not participating well with others...Read full review »

Noah needs to not let his emotions get the best of him when his interviewee expresses viewpoints different than he holds. Yelling at the judge was so tacky. Might as well been listen to a FM radio shock jock. Unsubscribe. I love Pushkin Ind podcasts but this one is not worth your time.

Excellent podcast! Thank you. The content is fascinating. My only recommendation is to perhaps split it in a couple of episodes (you already divided the content in chapters anyway). 1 hr was a bit too long and I had to split the listening over a couple of days (I listen to podcasts while I run...Read full review »

First episode’s guest: Malcolm Gladwell, a charlatan only invited there to ask questions to the pretentious Host. Really? Absolutely scripted and boring. This is not what people of the XXI century need. Somebody else will have to do the job.

Thank you so much, what an engrossing series - i cant wait for the rest of the episodes! Please considering making this a continuous series from which to further expound and branch out. PS: I’m totally crushing on Dr Lander’s brain ;)

First episode stars the charlatan malcom gladwell. Second is about how ScArY deepfakes are, which has been talked to death by ten thousand thought leaders in podcasts and YouTube. It’s also somehow an hour long even though it has nothing new to say.
