“Breaking Points advertises that they provide a “different” option for listeners outside of the Fox News / CNN echo chamber. While the intentions are noble (and IMO) greatly needed in this dystopian media landscape, their delivery over the past several months (Abolish the Supreme Court! episode, etc) falls far short of that goal and descends into binary and “gotcha!” political party talking points, largely driven by emotion (Krystal’s classic line is, “We have to do SOMETHING…”, regardless of whether the “thing” proposed is realistic / would solve the problem, or is just a feel good “Whole Foods Democrat” talking point (I’m Independent for the record and can’t stand Trump). I usually enjoy Saagar’s talking points, but he seems unwilling/unable to provide counter points when Krystal goes on one of her rants (Saagar, if you read this please start your own show, there is an enormous audience for it). I was strongly rooting for this show to succeed (and was formally an annual Premium subscriber), however they have seemed to exist long enough to turn into the “bad guy” as the cliche saying goes, I guess the ghost of Brian Stelter lives on. Please turn it around guys and get back to your mission statement, subscribers will return!”
