“The bbc political coverage is completely useless as a citizen trying to become politically literate. The editors revel in the fact that they know people and deal solely on gossip about opinion on political moves. The average citizen needs to understand the substance of politics, not the gossip (or politics with a small p) of politics. ‘They will think of this about this, I got a text saying this’ is not journalism of any quality or integrity and this podcast promotes only gossip politics, which is quite significantly contributing to poor political understanding in our generation.”
