Is not the phrase “approach in any direction” nonsensical? Can you approach a point by walking in a circle around said point. We need a lawyer, or Brain Moore to be “precise”. I jest, this is the only rugby podcast I can find that does not feel like it is curated by the lads. Certainly well...Read full review »

Stopped listening a time ago but the current presenters as extremely good fun albeit maybe let down by hard facts/stats

This podcast gives every impression of being one that the Telegraph really isn’t invested in airing and the reporters aren’t really excited about appearing on. (They appear way too enthusiastic whenever they mention “this is the last pod of the season” or “this is our last pod from the World...Read full review »

Step into the captivating world of pre-red chino-clad, middle-class white Kens, a congregation of rugby enthusiasts who have, curiously enough, never set foot on the rugby field. Get ready for a group discussion that’s bound to be as unique as their sartorial choices.

Best rugby pod I’ve heard from an insight/analysis point of view. Wish it was more regular.

If the forward speed of the ball exceeds the forward speed of the player making the pass, then the pass is a forward pass. (Forward speed is the rate of progress longitudinally down the pitches length).

BRILLANT, But where is Brian Moore? Bring him BACK too!! Please podcast every week, DON’T wait for the 6 nations!!! All year around please, 52 weeks/Yr

He has such poor diction it is hard to understand what he is saying at times . His guests are generally much more clear.

Really enjoying the new lineup. Breath of fresh air amongst the other rugby pods out there run by pros. Charlie, Charles and Ben are extremely knowledgeable but crucially clearly big fans of the game and the enthusiasm is great to hear. Just wish they’d broaden out to a weekly pod on the club...Read full review »

So nice to find a sport pod that isn’t contrived locker room banter, just quality analysis, worth a listen

The three chaps from the Telegraph have hit a great podding niche here. The joy of well researched content and not having former players or coaches on the pod means they can tell it how it is. Solid objective opinions makes it a very worthwhile listen.
Cillianb23 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/12/23
It’s nice to find a rugby pod that actually talks about rugby.
Teddy Chrimes via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/11/23
Quality over quantity with these three. More insights and analysis than your typical rugby podcast. Love it

Three well informed and engaging journalists who are open, fair and frank in their discussions. They are reliably up to date with the latest developments and news, focus on the rugby rather than the personalities/celebrities and are willing to critique performances on the pitch. Presenter’s way of hesitatingly talking doesn’t go well with the poor audio quality. Words fade in and out and makes it hard listening. Had to stop as it was too tiring to listen to.

If you have grown tired of smug, shouty, lairy rugby podcasts like the good, the bad and the rugby I can’t recommend this highly enough. Thoughtful, insightful and measured, a podcast for people actually interested in the game.

These three have rebranded Mooro’s pod superbly. Funny and insightful; a smash hit.

Used to be a great show when BM was host, this is just dull now! No insight, no humour what is the point?

I highly rate Brian Moore but I listened to “what’s next for England” this morning and I had to stop. This is absolute drivel. Somehow you suggest a 5ft 11 90kg ex Worcester player is a better choice than albeit lesser Tuilagi against the most balanced, powerful and dominant centres in the world....Read full review »

Brian Moore is a sensible intelligent host and though he occasionally can’t wait to give his opinion, he usually does a great job of setting his guests up to have an interesting conversation. I could listen to Bob Skinstadt all day.

What’s happened to big, bad Brian Moore ?! Now it’s just another workmanlike pod with a bunch of no mark journos. Shame!

Great guests and insight. Maybe a bit too serious at times! Bring on the CEO of Clapham, Mr Archie Curzon, and he will up the banter levels!

Brian has a great way with his guests, so considered, balanced and informed. Thank you for the efforts. 5*

Really enjoying the Lions build up! For me South Africa is always the best tour, perhaps because I’m 50 and northern (the Rugby League influence), so 1997 was so special. Brilliant to have Bob Skinstad, always been a big fan, as a player and pundit - brilliant!

As a 50 year old ex rugby player who played 2nd division back in the day, it’s also ways good to have a no nonsense approach’s from someone who has been a leader at the coal face at the highest levels for many many years.

I recently fell out of love with the BBC Rugby Union Weekly podcast as I found it too England centric, and I also thought that it had too much emphasis on ‘banter’ rather than actual rugby analysis. This podcast on the other hand is a breath of fresh air, with Brian Moore taking the time to talk...Read full review »

Great show opinionated informed comment with great selection of guests. Especially enjoy Brian’s support of all elements of the game and the inclusivity of the Rigby Family.

Moore on his hobby horse again about his love for women’s rugby. I’ve no problem with Women commentators as long as they are competent. Phillipa Tuttiet for example who does commentary for Premier sports and the BBC is excellent, well informed, knowledgable and speaks when she has something...Read full review »

Great pod. Concise analysis always gets to the point. First person I’ve heard ask if there should have been a penalty try on George North tackle. Should refs start handing out automatic yellow cards to players who comment penalty offences during a penalty advantage....seems to be a deliberate...Read full review »

This is the podcast for people who understand rugby. A significant improvement on the BBC rugby podcast which is mainly juvenile “bants” and bragging.
Hedgiepops via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/02/20
Insightful, balanced and a good dose of no nonsense common sense. Brian pulls in plenty of smart views from around the 6N nations to supplement his opinion which he delivers without being vindictive or biased. Also he does not serve up matey banter as the main fodder. The whole thing is...Read full review »
