As a former UK police officer, now in Western Australia, the way the accounts are presented as timelines make each episode develop in an ordered way that appeals to my way of thinking. Great job Stu.

One can tell that the presenter is a bit of a ‘bell end’ but he tries his best. Don’t expect a Pulitzer prize anytime soon.

I only discovered British Murders a few months ago, but soon binged all the episodes as I work from home. Stuart’s dulcet tones are the perfect accompaniment to my work. The podcast is well researched and well presented, with touches of humour where appropriate. Stuart is always respectful of the...Read full review »

I was never one to listen to any sort of true crime podcast it was just football ones for me. But after having an episode recommended to me as it was covering a story that happened locally to me, I got hooked and I’m going through all episodes as we speak. Love the structure & reaserch of the...Read full review »

Being a true crime junkie, this show was recommended on my listening habits. Not everyone is suited to podcasting with some resembling the robotic voice of your Satnav! Thankfully this isn’t the case here. Thoroughly enjoy listening to the stories and have been binging to catch up. Keep up the...Read full review »

randomly came across the podcast and now working through the back catalogue. I love anything true crime but not a fan of long winded rambling stories. the bitesized episodes are perfect and along with the style of storytelling keep you listening all the way through.

Good podcast clear and concise but find the self stroking at the end jarring, reading out 5 star reviews of himself and patting himself on the back is a bit strange. Also the baby/child soundbites of his daughter swearing is a bit odd - it’s not a child friendly podcast.

Sorry Stuart that I am writing here instead of on Spotify, but this is where I listen! (Please keep me anonymous.) I have been listening to this podcast for about 6 months and have now listened to the whole back catalogue. After series 3 I think you’ve got the tone and the mix right. I really appreciate the way you research cases that are not well known. I am so tired of listening to podcasts or watching shows on the same crimes😬. It takes a lot more research to look at the less infamous cases. You are compassionate but you also endeavour to ascertain facts, commenting when...Read full review »

Name is Jordan. Started listening two weeks ago and I’m enjoying the podcast. I think it’s the accent for me but also I’m more a fan of the British Cases. I was wondering maybe you could cover the case of either Alice Ruggles, or The case of Ashling Murphy if Irish cases count. Keep up the good...Read full review »

Great podcast, love the bite sized approach. I found this podcast a while back but have recently been bingeing. One of my favourites by far! If you like super short and basic cases this is for you. 20+ minutes of talking nonsense. It would be good if you covered better cases with more info. Not all episodes are like this some are good tho. The interviews are not for me but I just skip them.
DarioJamesph via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/07/24
Fantastically written and so well delivered. It is so informative and also so funny at times, Stu’s ‘curiousity questions’ crack me up, one minute I’m busy doing something, next minute I’m ‘creased up’ (Scottish!). Dead good show!!
Lynn Reynolds via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/04/24
Not bad, but narrator doesn’t pronounce the letter t in the middle of words, which makes this unlistenable for me, it spoils what is good cases and research. It may be a local accent, however if speaking to the public a brush up on pronunciation is vital. I really wish I could subscribe.

Enjoyed this podcast for years. Well researched episodes and enjoy looking up parts in UK I wasn’t aware of. Stuart’s northern accent gives it that extra gravitas, offset by touches of humour (I’m a southerner). Stuart also sounds a lot like my mate Carl from uni. Just sayin’.
