Description
On today’s episode, we talk a period in US history where there was a widespread effort to root out Soviet spies in the Government. We dive into Joe McCarthy’s history, how his particular brand of inquisition became synonymous with political “witch hunts”, and debate on the effectiveness and legitimacy of those efforts on US policy. Also, we talk a bit about how McCarthyism is potentially being applied today.
